Many rheumatic diseases call for co-management of the disease with other specialties. There are patient benefits to having access to these specialists who can collaborate for improved patient care, which include, but are not limited to, better communication, more timely decision-making, and lower time commitment and cost. These clinics are becoming more prevalent, but there are limited resources on how we should go about establishing these clinics and what models are available to us. The session will also explore the potential barriers to this type of care and how to overcome them.
