The success of anti-CD19 CAR-T cells have raised new questions regarding the origins of autoreactive plasma cells and memory B cells. This session will focus on the heterogeneity of human B cell memory and plasma cells: 1} Dr Georgiou will address the connection between plasma cell repertoire identified via mRNA sequencing vs. the more limited repertoire identified using proteomics. 2} Dr. Lee will focus on human plasma cell subsets identified using single cell RNA sequencing. 3) Dr. Lino will describe unique subsets of memory B cells and plasma cells present in patients with SLE.
Speaker: George Georgiou, PhD,MS – The University of Texas at Austin
Speaker: F. Eun-Hyung Lee, MD – Emory University
