Mark A. Matza, MD, MBA, RhMSUS is the Clinical Director of Rheumatology and the Medical Director of the Medical Infusion Center at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. He received his undergraduate degree from Yale University and both MD and MBA degrees from Georgetown University. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and his fellowship in rheumatology at MGH. He has interests in giant cell arteritis, inflammatory arthritis, crystalline disease, IgG4-related disease, and musculoskeletal ultrasound. He partakes in clinical trials in giant cell arteritis and IgG4-related disease. He has a special interest in the use of ultrasound in the diagnosis of giant cell arteritis and started the Fast-Track GCA Program at MGH. He is certified in musculoskeletal ultrasound through the American College of Rheumatology (RhMSUS).
