Hanna Kim completed her B.S. in Biology from Caltech, Pasadena, CA. She obtained an M.D. from the University of California, Irvine. She completed pediatrics residency at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC and pediatric rheumatology fellowship at A.I. Dupont Children’s in Wilmington, DE, Children’s National, and NIAMS/NIH in Bethesda, MD. Currently as a board-certified pediatric rheumatologist and assistant clinical investigator, she is the head of the Juvenile Myositis Pathogenesis and Therapeutics Unit at NIAMS / NIH. She is chair of the Early Career Investigators Subcommittee of ACR.
She does clinical and translational research focused on novel biomarkers and their association with disease activity and pathogenesis, as well as novel treatments in clinical trials in juvenile myositis.
