Practicing pediatric rheumatologists often learn the most from their challenging cases. This interactive discussion will be based on two challenging cases of young patients with lupus presented by experienced clinicians, and a brief review of pertinent up-to-date evidence informing the management of the case. This will be followed by breakup groups discussing key questions on the management of the case: What investigations are helpful in the management of cases like this? What treatments have the best outcomes? The session will address two topics: severe lupus nephritis and severe antiphospholipid syndrome.
